The Varsity Boys Soccer team took 4th place in the SCIS tournament in Munich last Friday and Saturday.
On the first day of the tournament, the Varsity boys played against Munich International School and lost 0-1. Although the boys played better in their second game, they lost 0-3 to Vienna. However, the team did was not let down by their losses, and showed significant improvement on the second day. They tied 1-1 with Geneva, John Byrne scoring a goal. They tied with Zurich as well, with a score of 0-0.
In the tournament, 5 schools from Geneva, Vienna, Munich, Zurich, and Warsaw competed. Munich International School came first, followed by Zurich International School, and the American International School of Vienna.
According to Bartek Trydeński, one of the players, the tournament gave the team some material to work on as they can learn from their mistakes. He further added that the team hopes to win CEESA, another tournament happening in the second week of November, even if it may be challenging.
