Warrior News Eats Things: Secado Edition

by Alex Cyzarz and Michał Korczewski

If you’re ever in the mood for a good and informal lunch, you don’t have to look further than Secado.

Secado is located on Marszałkowska street in the city center. The interior of the restaurant is very modern which matches their concept of food as well. Secado combines food  from, Thai, Indian, French, and American cuisines. If you’re really into your food you might want to request that you sit by the open kitchen as you will be able to see your food being prepared.

The Hero’s Burger. Or possibly “Heroes’ Burger.” It depends on your politics.

Whilst we were there, we ordered the ‘Hero’s King’ which, according to the restaurant, is their speciality when it comes to their burgers. It has the highest price tag, at 32 PLN.

The ‘Hero’s King’ comes with 300g of grilled beef cooked to your liking, bacon, cheddar, tomato, onion, a lot of salad, pickles and mayo sauce. With all that combined, you get one of the best tasting burgers you will have made out only quality food. However, it is a tremendously huge burger, so only eat it if you have a serious appetite, otherwise you are guaranteed that you will not finish everything.

The ‘Teriyaki’ burger is a much smaller portion, and costs only 29 PLN. The burger is a combination of grilled beef, cheddar cheese, mango, tomato, onion, lettuce, coriander, shiso, and sriracha hot sauce. If spicy food is to your liking, then this is the burger to choose. All the burgers are served with fries, onion rings, and vegetable sticks accompanied with their special secado sauce on the side.

When it comes to beverages you must ask for the ‘Fresh and Fruity Lemonade’. Especially on a hot day, you will not regret this decision. These lemonades are made in house from a vast variety of fruits. When you ask for this drink you will get to choose what fruit your lemonade is made out of. We recommend the Mango lemonade. However, if you’re feeling brave go ahead and choose a different fruit as we’re certain it’ll taste just as great.

Secado is not the cheapest restaurant in Warsaw, but if you are looking for good quality food for a decent price for your lunch, then we highly recommend this restaurant.
